Carl Jacobs is a seemingly average college freshman. Being a student Carl is often faced with many long nights of hard work. But, when hard work just isn't enough, when there is a task too monumental, a deadline too outrageous, Carl will inevitably  transform in to Captain Slowmo. Captian Slowmo has the ability to slow down time to a near stand still, giving him the chance to complete near impossible tasks, in record breaking time.

In addition to being a full time student, Carl (aka Captain Slowmo) also works as a pizza delivery boy. One night on the job Carl's boss, Professor procrastination gives Carl an order for 50 pizzas. 50 PIZZAS IN ONE NIGHT!!! a near impossible task for Carl, but just as Professor Procrastination thinks he has Carl stumped, he transforms into....Captain Slowmo. Captain Slowmo hopped in the companies Toyota Carolla and started delivering. Cars seemed to barely move as he sped through traffic making delivery after delivery in astonishing speed.

When Captain Slowmo returned to work in what had only seemed like seconds to Professor Procrastination, they both knew the job was done, pizza lovers were happy, and balance had once again been restored for Carl.

A Response to a Weekly Letter 

I very infrequently deal with loss, however, early in my life my grandfather passed away, which was a very major event in my life. Although I was very young (7 years old) my grandfathers death has made a significant impact on my life. I very clearly remember not feeling sad, just confused. It wasn't that I didn't understand the concept of death (I very much did), however, I kept asking myself "why did this happen to me and my family?" Eventually I came to a point of acceptance, however, the process of dealing with this loss has shaped who I am today.
